Safety

Aircraft, Pilots & Operations

At Air Charter Advisors, your safety is our top priority. We understand that when you charter a private jet, you are entrusting us with not only your time but also the well-being of your family, friends, colleagues, and associates. That trust is something we take seriously.

A Commitment to Safety Beyond Words

In the air charter industry, the term “safety” is frequently used without the necessary substantiation. At Air Charter Advisors, we go beyond mere claims – safety is seamlessly integrated into every element of your flight experience. By collaborating with highly reputable aircraft operators and requesting comprehensive safety reports, such as ARGUS or Wyvern, when needed, we ensure that every detail is meticulously addressed. This commitment provides you with peace-of-mind that your journey will be both safe and smooth.

How We Ensure Your Safety

Expert Aircraft Operators & Well-Maintained Aircraft

Safety starts with the fundamentals: reliable aircraft operators and well-maintained aircraft. We work with carefully vetted air carriers who meet the highest safety standards. While we don’t select the pilots, we ensure that the operators we work with only employ experienced, qualified pilots who are fully trained and certified to fly the specific aircraft for your flight.

As part of our vetting process, we require specific documentation from each aircraft operator to ensure they meet our stringent safety standards. Whether you are flying on a piston or turboprop aircraft, light jet, mid-size jet, or heavy jet, we consider this an essential step. It guarantees that the aircraft is not only well suited for your mission but also operated by a provider with a proven track record.

Regulations

When arranging a private jet charter, we only work with FAA-certified FAR Part 135 air carriers, which operate under stringent regulations and carry substantial insurance coverage. If your flight is international, we ensure that the operator meets the equivalent safety standards of the country of operation. This is generally not applicable to large group charters, non-emergency air ambulance, or cargo flights – as these all operate under different regulations.

Industry-Leading Safety Reports

As part of our commitment to safety, Air Charter Advisors requests that operators provide an ARGUS safety report or a Wyvern report. As a Premium Wyvern Broker Member, we have access to these comprehensive safety reports directly, which further enhance our due diligence process. This additional step reinforces our commitment to your safety and provides an extra layer of transparency in every flight we arrange. Not all flights will qualify for these additional steps. Single engine operations, single pilot operations, non-emergency air ambulance and foreign operators generally do not subscribe or participate in these.

Transparency: Who Are Your Advisors?

In an industry where trust is paramount, we believe in complete transparency. At Air Charter Advisors, you can feel confident knowing that you are working with a team that adheres to the highest ethical standards. We pride ourselves on our integrity, and we take all necessary precautions to ensure that your personal and trip details are handled securely and professionally.

To maintain this level of trust, we conduct thorough background checks on all our employees and independent contractors. These checks include:

  • National Criminal Search
  • National Sex Offender Registry Check
  • Terrorist Watch List (OFAC)
  • Address History & Aliases Search
  • Lawsuits, Judgments, Liens, and Bankruptcies Search
  • FAA & Watercraft Records

Our commitment to your safety extends beyond the aircraft and the flight itself. We make sure that everyone involved in your charter is vetted and trustworthy, so you can focus on enjoying your journey without concern.

Charter Broker Regulations: What You Need to Know

In many industries, brokers are required to hold licenses to ensure professionalism and protect consumers from fraudulent activities. While there is currently no specific licensing requirement for charter brokers, the FAA and Department of Transportation (DoT) are taking steps toward providing greater transparency in the industry.

As of February 14th, 2019, the DoT implemented Part 295 – Air Charter Brokers, a new set of regulations designed to increase transparency in the private aviation sector. While these regulations do not mandate licensing for brokers, they help create a more transparent environment for clients like you.

At Air Charter Advisors, we embrace these regulations and stay ahead of any changes to ensure we are providing you with the safest and most reliable services in the industry. As a member of the National Business Aviation Association Member since 2012 – we stay up to date.
