Thompson & Denver helped popularized the town among the counter-culture crowds in the 1970’s, and the city continued to grow despite its reputations for debauchery.

Climate
At its high altitude, Aspen offers a humid continental climate with a large diurnal temperature variation between daytime and nighttime temperatures; summer days can become moderately warm, while winter nights may get bitterly cold.
