Fly private on Dassault’s most flexible Falcon jet
Dassault has introduced a serious challenger within the super-midsize (SMS) market with the Falcon 2000S, offering an attractive combination of speed, cabin size, and short runway performance hard to find among its peers.
When it first hit the market in 2013, the Falcon 2000S featured the largest cabin, longest range, and best performance in its class, and its $25 million price point was designed to compete with the Gulfstream G280, Challenger 300, and Hawker 4000, while coming in at nearly $10 million less than a 2000LXS.
Air Charter Advisors connects clients to a global fleet Falcon business jets, including the 2000S, along with the most competitive rates in the jet charter market.

Dassault debuted the Falcon 2000S at EBACE in 2001 with the goal of bringing a large cabin aircraft into the super mid-sized business jet category, all while delivering improved efficiency, productivity, performance, and lower operating costs.
The 2000S can be seen as the entry level Falcon, however, that would be a bit of a misnomer seeing as it’s more than just a stripped-down version of the 2000LX with shorter range and better runway performance.
Delivering a range of 3,350 nautical miles (6,200 km), outstanding short runway capabilities, and room for up to 10 passengers, one might say the 2000S is a Falcon of a different wing.
That’s mainly due to the optimized aerodynamics on the 2000S, with the addition on inboard wing slats allowing it to fly steeper approaches into shorter runways, reaching London City, Aspen, and Hilton Head with ease.
Offering the perfect balance of performance and economy, it’s designed to satisfying executive and luxury private jet travelers with all the benefits of modern business jet, at a significantly lower cost — compared to the 2000 LX/LXS, the price is reduced by nearly $10 million.
Comfort
The 2000S is the perfect business jet for owners and charter clients who want a full-size Falcon at midsize pricing. It’s a wide cabin super midsize jet minus the big cabin, heavy jet costs, offering more aircraft at a cost of operation typically in line with smaller business jets.
Like the LX, the 2000S offers a spacious, stand-up cabin designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 passengers with 6 individual seats and a club 4 arrangement. There’s also a total of 1,024 cubic feet of storage space for your luggage, bags, clubs, and more.
Seats are redesigned and more stylish than ever, all while offering superior comfort. Entertainment controls are at your fingertips via your wireless mobile device Falcon’s HD cabin-management system, including Blu-ray, SatComs, and widescreen HD monitors.
The roomy, spacious cabin measures 7’8″ wide and 6’2″ tall, allowing travelers to freely move about the cabin to stay refreshed, while plenty of natural light and constantly refreshed air keeps you from feeling fatigued after long flights.
Falcon private jets are also known for having some of the quietest cabins in the sky, and they’re even quieter now with sound-dampening engine mounts and advanced acoustic insulation to reduce cabin noise. Add that to its 47,000 foot operating ceiling, and you can fly above bad weather and enjoy a smooth ride.
Performance
Built around the same design as the Falcon 2000LX, its reduced range and other factors place it in the Super Midsize Jet category, where it outperforms many business jets in its class.
The Falcon 2000S is powered by enhanced Twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C turbofans, providing 7,000 pounds of thrust engine. The PW308C has a proven track record with more than 1 million hours of flight time, and it complements the superior aerodynamics of the 2000S by incorporating advanced technologies to improve durability, dramatically reduced emissions, and lower operating costs.
One of the biggest upgrades over the 2000LX, the 2000S offers exceptional low speed performance, resulting in the greenest footprint of the entire series of Dassault’s Falcon jets. The low speed performance also reduces the runway distance required for landing to 2,312 feet (705 meters).
The wing’s leading edge features slat–extendable portions, that when deployed at slower speeds and combined with the standard autobrake system, can approach speeds down to a mere 108 knots while comfortably navigating a 6° steep approach, twice as steep as its competition.
This allows the Falcon 2000S to utilize 50% more airports than most business jets in its class, accessing remote landstrips, exotic locations, challenging airports, and landing you closer to your home or office.
Ownership
Dassault aggressively priced the Falcon 2000S at $25 million, compared to $33 million for the new 2000XLS, and it’s an attractive option for prospective aircraft owners looking at G280s, Challengers, and Hawkers.
Dassault was able to achieve this by reducing the range to 3,350 nautical miles, adding wing slats and an auto-brake system to reduce approach speeds and access short runways, and further reduced costs by offering 3 standard cabin configurations.
Simply put, the 2000S outperforms its competition on virtually every level. It delivers class-leading performance, flexibility, productivity, efficiency, and low direct operating costs, giving it some of the best figures in the super midsize market.
The redesigned flight deck is equipped with EASyII digital avionics, which is based on the Honeywell Primus Epic system. It’s also combined with Dassault’s FalconEye system, incorporating a variety of technologies including Combined Vision System (CVS), Enhanced Vision System (EVS), and Synthetic Vision System (SVS) in a singular display.
Other cockpit features include satellite-based augmentation system with precision GPS approach, runway navigation display, and electronic navigation charts to reduce pilot workload and allowing them to stay focused on your flight.
Offering redesigned wings, enhanced PW308C engines, advanced avionics, and improved maintenance features, the 2000S will save you money without sacrificing the quality of owning a Falcon private jet.
