Charter a Private Flight on the Citation V
Air Charter Advisors arranges private jet charter flights on the Cessna Citation V, a light jet originally designed as a growth variant of the Citation II/SP (JT15D-5A).
Cessna initially announced the development of a stretched version of the Citation II at the New Orleans NBAA convention in 1987, just months after the Model 560 prototype successfully completed its maiden flight.
The Citation 5 made its debut as the largest straight-wing jet in Cessna’s Citation family of business jets. Certification was granted in late 1988, with deliveries beginning the following spring. Improvements over the smaller II/SP included powerful Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D5A engines, and a slightly stretched fuselage, allowing for up to 7-8 passengers in the cabin (when including one person on the belted lav).
The Citation V was one of Cessna’s most successful light jets, with a total of 262 built up until 1994, when Cessna began production on the upgraded Citation Ultra.
