Centennial Airport Details
Centennial Airport originally opened in 1968 as Arapahoe County Airport, and was renamed to Centennial in 1984.
Serving as an international private jet hub with continuous U.S. Customs services, it consistently ranks as one of the busiest general aviation airports in the United States, averaging just under 900 operations per day and just over 30,000 business jet departures annually.
There are a total of three runways available at APA, with runway 17L/35R measuring 10,000 feet; while the other two measure 7,001 and 4,800 feet. The FAA control tower provides 24/7 air traffic control, and it’s longest runway – 35R – is equipped with an instrument landing system (ILS).
There is also a concrete helipad available for quick helicopter transfers to Boulder, Aspen, Vail, and other locations along the front range of the Rocky Mountains.
